Three Harbor Players Named All-South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball
Los Angeles Harbor College's Laila Jackson, Kayla Fierro and Anna Katsevich were selected to the 2024 All-South Coast Conference South Division Women's Volleyball Team.
Jackson, a 5-foot-11 sophomore middle blocker, was the lone Seahawk to make the First Team after averaging 2.17 kills and leading the team in blocks with 22.
Chosen to the All-SCC Second Team, Fierro, a 5-7 sophomore outside hitter, led LAHC in kills average at 2.44 per set while averaging 1.81 digs plus 21 blocks and 19 service aces. Also making the Second Team was Katsevich, a 5-9 second-year middle blocker, averaged 1.2 kills.
Sophomore libero Alexa Quintero averaged a team-best 3.94 digs and freshman Lauren Villaneda topped the Seahawks in aces with 24.
LA Harbor placed fourth in the SCC South and finished 7-12 under second-year head coach Sean Zuvich. His team made a 5-win improvement from last year and was 3-2 in SCC crossovers v. the North Division, sweeping Rio Hondo, East Los Angeles and LA City.
